NZ Legal Jobs Survey Shows Gender Remains an Issue
Gender pay issues remain an issue for New Zealand lawyers according to a new survey undertaken by a legal recruiter.
The survey showed noticeable differences between genders in hours worked, the level of salary increases, benefits and other employment conditions.
In the New Zealand legal profession women make up only one-third of all partners or directors of law firms, which means that the average remuneration for women is well below that of the average male lawyer.
