Does Volodimyr Zalensky Represent What All Great Leaders Should Be?

A recent social media post indicated something that has become increasingly obvious in the current state of world tumult - that Ukrainian leader Volodimyr Zalensky represents the qualities that make a great leader - whether you're a team leader at a law firm or the leader of a country under attack from a large, bullying and ruthless neighbour?

As the post, made by the head of marketing at SEB Bank in Lithuania said:

I’ve attended many leadership trainings in my life. Had a chance to develop myself, challenge my weaknesses by listening to great coachers and senior managers.

Volodimyr Zelensky is beyond leadership books. He’s much more than what’s missing among today’s Leaders - combining authenticity, courage, empathy, humbleness. The President of Ukraine not only stands strong against the worst terror of a mankind. He reminded us all that we should never take freedom for granted.

Zelensky's inspirational and brave pronouncements in the face of Russia's onslaught has not only shown up many Western leaders for their lack of true leadership cred, but also exemplified the key factor of great leadership - showing empathy and strength while also encouraging strategic thinking, innovation, and action.
